POTS&PANDA started out when I was generously given a pottery wheel for my birthday. Documenting my precarious journey into the luxuriantly ageless material of clay and making beautiful things, this blog follows an amalgamation of my processes and inspirations.

Everything I choose to share on this blog has somehow struck a chord in me from highbrow to the very lowest of brows. Art in all glorious forms, achingly beautiful ceramics, architecture, angular skylines, origami, textiles, colours, spooky things that I collect, my secret places, things that make me laugh, songs that make me melancholy.

I work with white earthenware. Sometimes trials in terracotta. Hand building in paper clay. Heavy decoration in underglazes vary. Clear gloss glazing. Tissue transfers accented with restraint.
