Musing over Vic & Bert’s place (V&A 2012)

Well it has been a really long time since I wrote a blog post and this is because it has been a really long time since I was home. I’m still away from home, in fact, but I feel I am finally ready to start posting again. My last post was on June 20th. All the posts that follow hereafter will be of a ceramics related nature, but unfortunately almost none of which will have been made by yours truly.

Expect influences, bits of my travels, gallery/museum visits, coveted junk I have hoarded along the way, prints and designs to inspire, art that I love, ideas for future projects, tactile textiles, my amassed postcard collection.. OH and not to mention a full account of my pottery course which I did back in August!

Hands down the most amazing ceramics collection I have ever seen in my life is at the Victoria & Albert museum in London. I can’t even begin to comprehend how seriously I lost my shit. The collection is stacked tight to the ceiling of the entire top floor of the V&A and spans from 15th century up until contemporary works and comprehensively displays works from all across the world. Here is a super condensed selection of the 34202354854 photos I took before my camera died on me.
